Randy and I were supposed to trout fish with David Hester but he had to cancel because of some business appointments, so we and Jamal went tuna fishing. Did not hook one but the rockfish bite was on fire. We caught around 20 fish in the 30 lb range and were not even trying

Brian took his friend from NC speck fishing today in less than desirable conditions, wind W gusting to 35 kts, air 45F, water 51 F. I have taught him well as they caught 10 fish today with one 24 in paper for Brain. It was cold!

Fished from 10 am to 3 pm. Pulled jerk baits and fished a couple areas with live bait.Air low 60's, water 52F, Wind SW 15 to 20 mph. Caught a striper on Jerk bait and 3 trout on live bait between 17 to 20 inches. It was a SlOOOOOOOOOW day! Something bit that speck in half and it was trying to swim!

Took David fishing today Wind 15 kts NE, Water 54F, air 51F. We fished from 10:30 am to 3 pm. keeping 5 fish up to 22 inches for David to eat and I released a 25 in paper.

January 7, 2012 Elizabeth River

Fished from 10 am to 3 pm live bait large shiners. Caught 15 fish most between 18 and 23 inches. Water 54F, Wind SW15kts, air mid 60's.Brian got a paper for 2012 a 25 inch release and kept 3 to eat.
