Fished with Brian leaving dock at 5pm returning at 7 pm caught about 15 between 10 and 17 inches

Cobia Fishing August 27, 2012

Brian, Merv and I went out in the ocean today and stopped to get some menhaden but found something else instead.

It was rough as SSh************** with thunderstorms inshore but we worked around them spotting a few fish but they would not eat.

Fishing Thursday Aug. 23rd

NE wind 15 to 20 mph. Fished inlet for flounder and it was not good, only 2 small fish. We caught some small pups about 15 and missed 2 rodbenders. They were much bigger fish.

Fishing lately

David, Merv and I fished the Club Challenge Saturday 8-18 and it was the worst day of cobia fishing I ever had. Did not see or hook any fish after hitting over 30 bouys. Never saw any mehaden either. On a better note the small pups are in the river and it is time to start fishing in the evening.

Pre fishing club challenge

Got some nice flounder today

got 8 nice ones with most fish between 4 and 5 lbs

Casey and Billy went king and cobia fishing today but it was not to be so in afternoon tried for some flatties, it was game on and they caught a limit in 30 minutes jigging at the tower reef with a couple of 6 pounders.

August fishing so far

Got out Saturday and Red tide was bad but found so clean water 6 miles off cape henry but did not see any cobia althought lots of life. Aug. 8th flounder fished 1st island for a few hours and some nice keepers on mullet and sheep fished for 3 hours with nothing.
