Tarpon Eastern Shore July 30, 2012

Merv and I got up at 2:45 am and met at WAWA at 4:15 am. We launched at Oyster at 5:30 am and were cruising the barrier islands before sunrise. It took about an hour to find the tarpon and we stayed on them for 2 1/2 hours with no bites.Eel grass made bait fishing impossible and lures very difficult so we mainly threw out live croaker. Weather forecast was off on the wind which was suppose to be light from east but was 10 to 15 mph which made seeing fish difficult. Well at least we did find em!

Flounder fishing Friday July 27, 2012

Stomach fishing with Merv ( you will see pic with fish) What a difference a day makes, as the bite was off today with only small fish, but only fished 2 1/2 hours.

Met up with Brian at the house this morning around 8:30 am and caught some bait in canal Thursday July 26, 2012. Wind SW 20 mph outgoing tide and a little hard to fish but we managed our 2 man limit of flounder, then went looking for cobia and no life but did manage a rat. Back at the dock at 4 pm It must have been a 100 F on land. water temp was 81F

After all the rain Merv and I fished for 2 hours from 2 to 4 pm. A lot of current, wind and fishing was not good. Did manage a few of theses so I hope they are back this fall.

Only had 3 bites, Slowwwwww! 100F, water 80's light winds. I got a 12 lber, 25 inches
