Brian wanted to fish even though it was blowing 32 kts from NW and went went to the Eastern Shore in the Skiff and put in at Wise Point. I t was sketchy until around 11 am and then went sight fishing for drum and rockfish. It was on for 3 hrs and was awesome lots of straightened hooks, my first fish was a 45 inch rockfish, never landed any of the drum and Brian had 4 rockfish but lost the biggest. Picture of Brian with a 37 inch fish. They were caught with topwaters.
Merv, Randy and I ran over to the shoals into a brisk 20kt NNW wind. We got over and got set up and fished from 12:15pm to 6:30pm. We had 2 drum bites, one hooked up solid and Merv was on it. Water 59f. Pic of Merv with 48inch hog.
