May 23, 2019 fishing.
David and I left the house at 10:15 am and headed to the oceanfront to site cast. Wind was SW at 10 and water upper 60's. Fished within a mile of the green can off Cape Henry. Only saw 2 cobia and David got one of them. I spotted a school of red drum and we cast to it and were hooked up quickly.
Turned out ot be a 48 inch paper. David's cobia was around 30 inches. Back home before 5 PM.

The freshwater scene.
David has been fishing the ponds around Kempsville golf course and been catching some nice bass in the evening here are a few pictures.

May fishing so far!
I have been fishing with David in the river and we have been catching a lot of spot for bait for the big bluefish when they do arrive. The smaller bluefish to five pounders are here and indications are by some of the Bite offs that there are a few larger fish around. The drum are here in the Lynnhaven basin now with the water temperatures at 65°F.
