Water 51F, Wind SW 15 kts, Taylor had lots of bites missing lots of fish including a big one and kept 4 for dinner.

Water 52f Wind NNW 15Kts calming down in afternoon. Only landed on today and lost 4 others one of which was a monster. Taylor is holding a 22 in 4 lb fish. Maybe drags were a little to tight.

January 1, 2012 Recap of 2011

Well we had a very good year. We caught 12 citations on the skiff and 20 on the Bluewater. Seven different species. Casey and I both had six different species papers this year. Considering the weather we had with all the wind we did very well indeed. 2011 will be hard to beat. The Bluewater has a formal name now and shall be referred to in the future as the Change of Pez (COP) and the skiff as the COP2. Best of luck to everyone in 2012.

Casey and Randy took the skiff to th Elizabeth River today and Casey got this 26.25 fish. Randy got a 24 inch release paper also. Good fishing guys as I had to work.

Brian and Clarence fished today and it was a bit frustrating but Brian managed a 25 in speck paper. Congratulations on number 4 for the year.

Water 54F, Wind light until the rains and wind started around 1:30 pm . I took Judy's (from work)14 year old son and Brian fishing today. Only caught 2 fish, Brian had a 21 inch fish and Will had a nice paper 25.5 inches.

Fly fishing in Aspen for Trout and Grace skiing in Aspen

I fished with a local guide Roger Morse with Aspen Fly Fishing for Trout on Friday December 16, 2011. It was sunny and we fished from 11am to 3 pm. Temps were around 30F with little wind. I caught 10 , 5 rainbows and 5 browns. This was my first time fly fishing in freshwater. Had a litle trouble with guides freezing up.
