Brian was in town and we left the dock at 10 am and were back at 5 pm. The only thing Brian wanted was a tog for dinner. Well we got that. Water 57f, wind nw 10, water very clear. We started out speck fishing and on our third spot found them. We caught about 30 fish with a couple pushing right at 14 inches but most were a little under. We tog fished a little but the tide was changing so we went down long creek and tried somee other spots but no luck . We tog fished the first of the incoming but it was little slow but did get Brian's dinner. Hit some spots in the western branch but only one hit. Back at the dock just before sundown and the temp drop

The Wind
The wind is still blowing 20 plus knots. I'm off this weekend so it will blow until at least Monday. Maybe I can get out on the river some and see if the larger trout have moved in.

Duck to Kill Devil Hills
Spent Wednesday thru Sunday on the the outer baks and it was blowing very hard. It was fishable Thursday and Friday but the were only catching small trout so I did not bother. Casey fished Sunday in the Wind and caught some small trout in Long Creek. Maybe this wind will stop blowing sometime.
